Music to the Soul

After finally transitioning from North Carolina to being a Texan…again…I’ve struggled to find a radio station that fits my eclectic music style. I have to be honest . . . being on the other side of my dash has caused me to realize that I am not a fan of today’s music. The music is either too loud, too vulgar, doesn’t make sense, and the list goes on. I’ve had to come to the realization that the culture has changed, and it didn’t include me.

Low and behold, one day as I was scanning radio stations in my vehicle, I came across a station that spoke to my soul. 88.5 KEOM is a radio station out of Mesquite, Texas. And when I tell you I found myself reminiscing, it would be a mere understatement. This station plays all the good music from the 70s through the 90s. This is the music I was brought up on. Music from the likes of Joe Cocker, Brick, Earth Wind & Fire, Brother Johnson, INXS, Lisa Stanfield, Elvis, the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen and more.

This station is a permanent fixture in my vehicle, and I finally have something that I am not ashamed to let my granddaughter to listen to. Thank you KEOM.
